This extremely rare Vacheron & Constantin Steel rectangular watch from the early 1940s is made unique with the ownership. Tom Pickett was a congressman for Texas in the House of Representatives and then became a member of the Texas Railroad Commission. I can only imagine that the watch was in the USA before the start of hostilities in WW2 . Tom Pickett has a connection to Baylor University where I believe that the library has a collection of his papers. This watch by itself is incredibly rare and collectible, in this condition with the connection to a famous Texan is unique! (Ref r759)|
