How To Order
Vacheron & Constantin - 17 jewels, signed, adjusted temp, manual wind,[movement],
mint Signed vacheron stainless steel snap back case, 20mm x 30mm x 38mm, [back] case, inner [dust cover],
mint Arabic numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary seconds, signed Vacheron and Constantin, the smudge in the picture is due to the refraction of the Original beveled glass crystal.
This extremely rare Vacheron & Constantin Steel rectangular watch from the early 1940s is made unique with the ownership. Tom Pickett was a congressman for Texas in the House of Representatives and then became a member of the Texas Railroad Commission. I can only imagine that the watch was in the USA before the start of hostilities in WW2 . Tom Pickett has a connection to Baylor University where I believe that the library has a collection of his papers. This watch by itself is incredibly rare and collectible, in this condition with the connection to a famous Texan is unique. Certainly a gift to Baylor University! (Ref r759)
