Rare Moser wrist watch made for the Signal corp. This was ordered at a time when there was no central purchasing for the War dept. Very collectible Rockford Railroad watch in a hunter case. Rockford made far fewer watches than the major american companies . Waltham - Vanguard, lever set,23j, adj.Lossier hairspring.[movement], near mint+ Waltham Wadsworth 10k yellow gold filled, size 16, screw back and bezel, "dad" inscribed on back[back]another view [view]another view excellent+ Triple sunk enamel Montgomery dial, faint hairline at the 8m , , subsidiary seconds. From 1926 the Waltham "Vanguard" 23j with wind indicator is a good addition to any serious railroad collection. The price is low because of the hairline which I can only see under magnification, it would probably soap out , Wind indicators with Montgomery dial are a scarce combination! (Ref rm428)

Elgin - 19j,adj 5 pos, BW Raymond[movement], excellent+ Keystone 10k yellow gold filled case, screwback and bezel,very minor dings on back [back]another view [view], excellent Incredible even gold patina to this rare upside/down painted metal dial;, subsidiary seconds, blue steeled hands. From 1921 this scarce configuration with the crown at 6 and subsidiary seconds at 12 Elgin "B W Raymond" has the most spectacular patinated dial I have ever seen. At first glance it appears to be a gold coloured painted dial but closer inspection reveals the patina. This was probably designed for a car's dashboard.! (Ref rm418)

From 1905 this Elgin "Veritas" was their highest grade of railroad watches. Housed in a silverode case this is a fine example of the classic American "Railroad" watch. Moser, Henry - Fully jewelled, manual wind,[movement], excellent 14k pink gold snapback case,tonneau shaped,very gentle curve 35mm x 46mm x 58mm[back]another view [view]another view near mint refinished silvered dial, exploding arabic numerals, subsidiary seconds. H.Moser was a very respected Swiss watchmaker, most of who's output went to eastern europe and Russia. This watch is over 70 years old and has been restored and serviced, it is not as accurate as todays watches but certainly is an eye catching beautiful vintage watch, very large watch as well!
